BIM Manager

About the role

Parsons is looking for a BIM Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead and manage BIM activities within its consultant supervision team during the construction stage. The role covers establishing BIM workflows and standards, coordinating multidisciplinary models, and supporting the project team on site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage BIM activities within the consultant supervision team throughout construction.
• Establish, implement and monitor BIM workflows, standards, procedures and information management requirements.
• Review contractor BIM submissions, federated models, shop drawings and other digital deliverables for compliance and quality.
• Monitor model development and information requirements across project stages, including LOD 300, 400 and 500.
• Manage multidisciplinary BIM coordination between infrastructure, utilities, landscape, structures and other disciplines.
• Lead clash detection and coordination, and track issue resolution and closure.
• Monitor compliance with the BIM Execution Plan, naming conventions, model standards and LOD requirements.
• Coordinate BIM technical matters between the supervision team, contractor, consultant, client and other stakeholders.
• Review contractor 4D and 5D BIM workflows, including links to schedules, sequencing, quantities and costs, and give technical guidance.
• Set up BIM QA/QC processes, including model validation against LOD 400 and 500 requirements.
• Provide on-site leadership and technical support, and identify ways to improve BIM processes and coordination efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of total relevant experience and 5 years in the UAE.
• Proven experience as a BIM Manager or senior BIM professional in infrastructure construction or consultant supervision.
• Experience reviewing and validating contractor models against LOD 400 and 500 requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to lead BIM teams and guide the project team on site.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and international BIM standards; familiarity with the Aldar BIM standard is highly desirable.
• Previous experience on infrastructure and landscape projects in the Middle East is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, Synchro Pro, Autodesk Construction Cloud/Forma and Asite.
• Knowledge of infrastructure and landscape BIM workflows, model coordination, clash detection and information management.
• Understanding of 4D and 5D BIM methodologies and BIM standards, QA/QC and digital information exchange.
