BIM/CAD Technician (Storm Water Drainage)

About the role

Parsons is looking for a BIM/CAD Technician to join its Storm Water Drainage team in Dubai, UAE. The role covers basic to moderately difficult design and drafting assignments, working closely with BIM leads and design leads to deliver drawings on time.

Key responsibilities

• Work with BIM leads and design leads to ensure project compliance with policies and processes and timely completion.
• Develop engineering drawings such as layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics and component details from rough sketches or general design information, using a CAD workstation.
• Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards under the company QA/QC process.
• Create parametric and non-parametric families and apply strong knowledge of LOD requirements.
• Manage BIM-related activities from project start-up to completion, including clash detection, clash reports, scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of MEA/UAE CAD drafting experience in wet utilities projects.
• Good knowledge of BIM, LOD requirements and BIM processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD (mandatory)
