About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Biology Teacher for Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in January 2026/2027. This role offers the chance to join a highly successful school family and deliver the English National Curriculum. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of raising standards and supporting all learners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement department policies and practices aligned with the school’s vision and high standards.
• Monitor and evaluate short, medium, and long‑term plans for departmental development.
• Use data to identify under‑achieving students and create targeted support plans.
• Ensure schemes of work are regularly reviewed, covering SEN/POD, G&T, and EAL provisions.
• Maintain curriculum continuity and progression for all ability levels, including high‑ability and special educational needs students.
• Lead the department in contributing to the school’s CAS programme and after‑school revision sessions for I/GCSE and IB DP courses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of six years teaching experience, preferably with the UK curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to implement effective strategies that raise standards and close learning gaps.
