Business Development Manager – Material Handling Equipment

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive growth for United Diesel’s material handling equipment portfolio in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for building a strong pipeline, securing new customers and achieving monthly sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute a business development strategy based on market dynamics, past trends and customer needs.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline and database for the Abu Dhabi region.
• Research and identify new business opportunities, including new customers, partnerships and alternative market approaches.
• Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure profitability of products and services.
• Visit prospective customers, present product catalogs, pricing and advantages.
• Compile and interpret market intelligence, competitor data and market share analysis.
• Analyse loss‑sale reports and take proactive actions to improve future deals.
• Develop and sustain relationships with principals, manufacturers and suppliers to maximise support.
• Collaborate with principals to align brand positioning and implement target plans.
• Prepare and respond to proposals, RFPs and customised solutions for customers.

Required profile

• Proven ability to develop, maintain and strengthen business relationships with customers and partners.
• Experience in managing principal relationships to secure support for company goals.
• Track record of meeting monthly sales targets and delivering customer satisfaction.
