Business Finance Analyst

About the role

Join bp as a Business Finance Analyst supporting finance and commercial matters for bp’s activities in Abu Dhabi. You will use advanced technical capabilities in integrated business planning, performance reporting and commercial optimisation to help drive business results.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the development of budgets and forecasts for oil and LNG businesses, monitor performance and provide timely analysis and advice.
• Provide advanced economic and analytical support for business decisions, maintain and create economic models, and lead investment governance, reserves reporting, SMOG and impairment processes.
• Participate in joint‑venture finance and audit committee meetings, advising decisions in line with agreements to protect and enhance bp value.
• Lead risk‑management processes and ensure compliance with relevant bp policies.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, Business Management or equivalent.
• Significant experience in finance, business planning and economic evaluations within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong analytical and modelling skills, solid accounting fundamentals and high commercial acumen.
• Ability to work with limited supervision, strong teamwork, influencing and communication across technical and non‑technical groups.
• Fluent English.
