Business Insight Analyst – Finance & People

About the role

As a Business Insight Analyst you will partner with Cognita’s Finance and People teams to turn data into meaningful insights that drive performance and decision‑making. You will work within the central data team while collaborating across the organisation to deliver impactful Power BI visualisations and analytical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted analytics partner to the Finance and People teams, turning data into actionable insights.
• Design, develop and maintain Power BI reports and interactive dashboards.
• Extract and analyse data from the Databricks platform, combining financial and workforce metrics.
• Translate business questions into clear analytical solutions and support enterprise reporting aligned with Cognita’s KPI framework.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering and AI Enablement to build AI‑powered tools and self‑service analytics capabilities.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in a business‑facing analyst, insight or BI role, preferably with finance or HR data.
• Proficient in SQL for data exploration, ad‑hoc queries and trend identification.
• Strong Power BI expertise, able to create engaging dashboards and reports.
• Excellent analytical ability to interpret financial and workforce metrics and provide clear recommendations.
• Experience working in Agile environments and comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels.
