Buyer – Procurement Specialist (Oil & Gas)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to lead purchasing activities for our oil & gas operations in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will ensure that all procured items are cost‑effective, meet quality standards, and support the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end purchasing processes, from supplier selection to order approval.
• Maintain strong, positive relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate supply options and negotiate terms to achieve cost efficiency.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
• Interpret legal documents and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to align purchasing with budgetary controls.
• Apply APQP methodology to drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the oil & gas sector.
• Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience with APQP methodology and related practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• APQP, AS9100, or AS9145 certification is a plus.
