Career Counselor – Student Guidance

About the role

LEAMS Education, a leading educational institution in Dubai, is seeking a dedicated Career Counselor to support students in navigating academic pathways and making informed career choices. The role involves one‑on‑one and group counseling, workshop delivery, and collaboration with faculty to align guidance with student strengths.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling on academic routes, subject selection, and career options.
• Assist students with higher‑education applications for UAE and international universities.
• Conduct career‑guidance workshops, seminars, and psychometric assessments for students and parents.
• Organise university fairs, guest lectures, and internship/placement opportunities.
• Work closely with teaching staff to integrate counseling insights into academic planning.
• Stay updated on university admission criteria, scholarships, and global education trends.
• Deliver personal‑development training such as communication, time‑management, and study‑skills sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Career Counselor in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of global university application processes (UAE, UK, USA, Canada, India, etc.).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Relevant certifications in career counseling or psychometric testing are a plus.
