Case Manager

About the role

Speciality Hospital Abu Dhabi is recruiting a Case Manager. The role promotes quality and cost-effective interventions and outcomes, manages case files and service plans, and works closely with administrative, medical and RCM teams.

Key responsibilities

• Record case information, complete all necessary forms accurately and prepare statistical reports.
• Handle case assignments, draft service plans, review case progress and determine case closures.
• Evaluate healthcare treatments and negotiate the most cost-effective options to manage DRG.
• Assist in timely patient discharge and evaluate documentation and code assignment during inpatient stays with doctors to ensure fair remuneration.
• Analyse and manage rejections, develop training to avoid them and audit files to alert departments to vulnerabilities.
• Perform other duties assigned by the hospital administrator and comply with OSH, infection control and waste management policies, including emergency and evacuation procedures.

Required profile

• Sound clinical training and background; medical or allied health graduate.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of coding, billing, auditing, approvals and clinical practices.
• Relevant coding certification.
• Auditing certification or training preferred.
