Certified Newborn Caregiver

About the role

Shifa Home Healthcare is hiring a Certified Newborn Caregiver in Dubai to provide safe, attentive and professional care to newborn babies at the client's home. The caregiver supports the baby's daily routine, hygiene, feeding, sleep and comfort while keeping the environment safe and clean. The role covers newborn care only, within the scope of the caregiver's training and authorization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide continuous supervision of the newborn and follow the parents' instructions on feeding, sleeping and daily routine.
• Feed the baby according to the parents' instructions, prepare and handle bottles safely and maintain feeding hygiene.
• Change diapers and maintain proper newborn hygiene; support bathing, dressing, grooming and general baby care.
• Comfort and soothe the baby, assist with burping and safe positioning after feeding.
• Keep the baby's room, bottles and baby-care items clean and organised.
• Monitor and report changes in feeding, sleeping, temperature, behaviour or general condition, and immediately report accidents, injuries, illness or emergencies.
• Follow safety instructions from parents and healthcare professionals, and keep family information confidential.

Required profile

• Previous newborn or infant-care experience.
• Knowledge of newborn feeding, diapering, hygiene and sleep routines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, patient, caring, responsible and trustworthy.
• Ability to follow parents' and healthcare professionals' instructions and to work independently in a private home.
• Good personal hygiene and professional appearance.

Required skills

• CPR / First Aid / BLS certification preferred or required as applicable.
• Strict adherence to the scope of practice: no diagnosis, prescribing or medical procedures unless legally authorised and qualified.
