Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Energy & Natural Resources

About the role

The company, a leading organisation in the UAE’s energy and natural resources sector, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead its finance function. This permanent role will be based in Dubai and will drive financial strategy and performance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Manage accounting and finance teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support decision‑making.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and enhance financial performance.
• Maintain relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting and finance within the energy and natural resources sector.
• Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Financial qualification, preferably from a Big 4 firm.
• Proven experience in financial planning, analysis and strategy development.
• In‑depth knowledge of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
