Chief Investment Officer (Hindi Speaker) – Family Office

About the role

A prestigious private family office in Dubai is looking for a Chief Investment Officer who speaks fluent Hindi. The CIO owns and executes the overall investment strategy, capital allocation and risk governance, and is fully accountable for investment performance across all asset classes, whether capital is deployed directly or through external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a long-term investment philosophy aligned with the family's objectives, liquidity needs and risk appetite, and drive asset allocation across public markets, private equity, private credit, real assets, alternatives and structured strategies.
• Set return targets, drawdown limits, capital preservation thresholds and portfolio construction guidelines.
• Oversee performance across all portfolios and entities, monitor attribution, concentration, liquidity and correlation risks, and enforce disciplined rebalancing, exits and capital recycling.
• Define mandates, benchmarks, risk limits, fee structures and reporting standards for external advisors, review them periodically and escalate underperformance or risk breaches to the Investment Committee and Chairman.
• Evaluate and approve direct investments and advisor-sourced opportunities, ensuring a clear thesis, downside protection and exit strategy, and prepare Investment Committee materials.
• Establish risk frameworks covering market, credit, liquidity, operational and counterparty risks, and ensure compliance with policies and documentation standards across jurisdictions.
• Deliver consolidated reporting on performance, risk and capital allocation to the family and Investment Committee.

Required profile

• 12 to 20+ years of investment experience across public and private markets.
• Proven experience working with principals, family offices or ultra-high-net-worth stakeholders.
• Fluent Hindi speaker with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High integrity, discretion and ability to work in a confidential, trust-driven environment.
