Civil Estimator

About the role

Our client is seeking a Civil Estimator to join their construction team in Dubai. The successful candidate will prepare accurate cost estimates for a variety of civil projects, including infrastructure, site development, earthworks, roads, and utilities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse drawings, specifications and technical documents to produce detailed cost estimates.
• Perform quantity take‑offs for labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Solicit, review and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to align estimates with project goals.
• Participate in pre‑bid meetings and site visits to assess scope and conditions.
• Maintain organized drawing files and related documentation.
• Assist in preparing tender submissions, bid documents and project proposals.
• Monitor cost trends and support budgeting, forecasting and value‑engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in civil estimating or related construction roles.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials and codes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and within a fast‑paced team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, PlanSwift or AutoCAD.
• Strong mathematical, analytical and organisational abilities.
