Civil Inspector (Infrastructure)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Civil Inspector (Infrastructure) to join its Dubai team. You will be responsible for continuous surveillance of construction activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications across a range of infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform civil and structural tests such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregate grading, concrete slump, air entrainment, and compression.
• Conduct surveys (lines and grades), bolt torque measurements, and concrete coring.
• Inspect underground piping for tightness, bedding, and grade.
• Monitor piling installation to verify location and bearing.
• Validate piping systems through P&ID checks and hydraulic pressure tests.
• Inspect electrical installations for proper grounding and circuit integrity.
• Check painting and insulation for thickness and coverage continuity.
• Provide general inspection of all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
• Verify equipment alignment and balancing operations.
• Participate in the development of quality control reports, safety practices, and safety reports.
• Administer welder qualification tests when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of construction supervision experience on infrastructure projects (roads, highways, pump stations, utilities) preferably in the UAE.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar inspection role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
