Civil Site Inspector – Water Distribution Projects

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Civil Inspector to support Resident and Assistant Resident Engineers in supervising water distribution network construction for a major utility client across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The role involves day‑to‑day site inspections, ensuring works follow approved drawings, specifications and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect civil works such as excavation, pipe laying, chambers, valves, fire hydrants and backfilling.
• Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, inspection‑test plans and industry standards.
• Attend and witness field and laboratory tests, including pressure testing and water quality sampling.
• Maintain daily field logs, photographic records and inspection reports.
• Raise non‑conformance reports and support snagging and final inspections.

Required profile

• Minimum BE or BSc in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, certified by the Ministry of Higher Education.
• At least 2 years of site inspection experience, preferably in water‑network projects.
• Fluent English (reading and writing) and a valid UAE driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of water network systems and associated civil works.
• Experience with trenching, excavation, shoring and backfilling processes.
• Understanding of HSE requirements, including confined‑space and excavation safety.
• Proficiency in preparing inspection records and non‑conformance reports.
