Civil Structural Engineer

About the role

Careers International is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Civil Structural Engineer to join its engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The engineer will design, analyse and ensure the structural integrity of civil engineering projects, working with multidisciplinary teams on residential and commercial buildings, infrastructure and industrial structures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design using industry-standard software and methodologies, ensuring compliance with local building codes, regulations and standards
• Prepare detailed structural drawings and specifications
• Collaborate with architects, other engineers and project managers on project plans, and assist with scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion
• Perform quality checks on designs, review and approve shop drawings and submittals
• Inspect sites to check existing conditions and ensure construction follows approved designs, resolving structural issues that arise
• Communicate with clients, give progress updates and incorporate their feedback
• Stay current with structural engineering advances and research cost-effective solutions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering
• 2-3 years of experience in structural engineering with a proven track record of completed projects
• Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
