Classroom Assistant - Early Years (Immediate Start)

About the role

Repton Dubai Junior Phase is looking for an experienced Classroom Assistant to work alongside the class teacher in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The role helps create a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment where young children feel secure, valued and ready to learn, focusing on play-based learning, early development and children's social and emotional wellbeing. The position is full time with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Support children through play-based, child-led and adult-guided activities, building warm, positive relationships
• Support personal, social and emotional development, including turn-taking, sharing and emotional regulation
• Assist with personal care routines such as toileting, handwashing and changing, in line with setting policy
• Support children with additional needs (SEN and EAL) following individual support plans
• Assist in delivering the EYFS curriculum and support early communication, language, literacy and numeracy
• Observe children's learning and share observations with the teacher, and help set up and maintain learning environments
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised setting, supervise children during free play, outdoor learning, transitions and mealtimes, and follow safeguarding, health and safety and Early Years policies

Required profile

• Experience working with young children in an Early Years or childcare setting
• Understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
• A caring, patient and nurturing approach, able to engage children through play
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
• Desirable: Early Years qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ or equivalent), experience supporting children with SEN, and paediatric first aid training

The salary is AED 2,500 - 3,500 per month. Applicants should include an up-to-date CV; the school may interview and appoint strong candidates before the closing date. All new staff undergo enhanced pre-employment clearance, including identity and criminal background checks and reference checks.
