Classroom Assistant (UAE National) – Virginia International Private School

About the role

Aldar Education is hiring Classroom Assistants (UAE National) for Virginia International Private School, starting in October 2026. The role supports individual pupils and groups inside and outside the classroom, helping them fully participate in daily activities while promoting their social, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support to pupils inside and outside the classroom, enabling participation in a range of activities.
• Assist teachers with implementing individual education programmes and monitoring pupil progress.
• Support pupils with additional needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties, and help develop social skills.
• Maintain pupil records, prepare displays of work, and assist with photocopying and other classroom tasks.
• Supervise pupils during lessons and in other school locations, ensuring health and safety compliance.
• Monitor attendance, check and correct work in progress, and keep pupils on task.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists and other professionals as required.
• Participate in team meetings, contribute to behaviour policy development and discipline pupils according to school policy.

Required profile

• UAE National.
• Minimum secondary school certificate.
• Proficiency in English (or the language used in the school curriculum).
