Classroom Assistant – Yasmina British Academy (AY 26/27)

About the role

Aldar Education is looking for a Classroom Assistant to join Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi for the academic year 2026/27. The role supports pupils inside and outside the classroom, helping them participate fully in learning activities while promoting their wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support to individual pupils or groups to enable full participation in classroom and extracurricular activities.
• Assist with pupils’ social, emotional and physical wellbeing and act proactively on health and safety matters.
• Help implement individual education programmes and monitor progress.
• Support pupils with additional needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Assist teachers with maintaining pupil records, preparing displays of work, photocopying and other teaching support tasks.
• Supervise pupils in classrooms and other areas, check attendance and help enforce the behaviour policy.
• Organise classroom materials at the end of the day.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary school certificate; at least two years experience in a school setting.
• UAE national (or candidate with equivalent qualifications) with good English language skills.
• Experience working with students for whom English is not the first language.
• Commitment to child welfare, professionalism and a clean enhanced DBS/police check.
