Clinical Psychologist

About the role

Mediclinic Group is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to deliver clinical psychology services in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, in line with professional standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves providing comprehensive assessments, therapeutic interventions, and collaborative care within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed psychological assessments using standardized tools and clinical interviews.
• Formulate referral questions, select appropriate psychometric measures, and analyse data to develop clinical impressions and diagnoses.
• Prepare structured psychological reports for clinical teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence‑based psychotherapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, and brief therapy.
• Deliver psychotherapy, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed.
• Facilitate group therapy, family sessions, and psycho‑education.
• Collaborate with fertility specialists and genetic counsellors to communicate difficult information sensitively (IVF context).
• Participate in MDT meetings, case discussions, and provide consultative input to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in clinical psychology.
• Proven ability to conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and produce clear reports.
• Experience delivering evidence‑based psychotherapies across multiple modalities.
• Strong capability to work within multidisciplinary teams and adhere to UAE healthcare regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and patient‑centred care.
