Clinical Social Worker (Master's) – Al Ain

About the role

The hospital is seeking a qualified Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree to provide comprehensive psychosocial support to patients and families across a range of clinical settings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial, cognitive and mental‑health assessments, identifying risks, coping mechanisms and safeguarding concerns.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence‑based care plans addressing emotional, social and environmental needs.
• Provide counselling, crisis intervention, trauma‑informed care, psycho‑education and appropriate referrals.
• Assess and respond to suicide risk, abuse, neglect and other safeguarding issues, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, case managers and other professionals to deliver multidisciplinary care.
• Advocate for patient rights, dignity, confidentiality and access to necessary services throughout treatment and discharge.
• Support families and caregivers in assessment, treatment planning and follow‑up to promote independence.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in line with DOH and UAE regulations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field.
• Relevant licensure or registration to practice in the UAE.
• Experience working with children, vulnerable adults, elderly or persons with disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of UAE DOH regulations, ethical standards and professional guidelines.
• Ability to assess and manage risk, including suicide and safeguarding concerns.
