Cloud Engineer – 24/7 Operations Support

About the role

The Cloud Engineer will provide 24/7 operational support for telecom cloud and core network infrastructure. Working in UAE data centres, you will monitor, troubleshoot and manage incidents across Software Defined Infrastructure, Cloud Native environments, and containerised network functions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor cloud infrastructure, SDI, CNF, VNF and cloud‑native environments, performing health checks and detecting service degradation.
• Handle alarms, events and incidents, perform first‑level troubleshooting and restore services.
• Escalate complex issues to second‑line support, vendors and engineering teams.
• Manage incidents following ITIL processes, conduct fault isolation, root‑cause analysis and communicate updates.
• Monitor Kubernetes clusters, validate pod, node and container health, and investigate container failures.
• Support compute, storage, virtualization and networking platforms, execute routine operational tasks, backups and housekeeping.
• Maintain operational procedures, troubleshooting guides and produce incident reports.

Required profile

• L1/L2 Operations Support Engineer with experience in telecom cloud or core network environments.
• Willingness to work 24 × 7 shift‑based schedule.
• Government security clearance and a valid UAE ID are mandatory.
• Contract for 12 months with a high probability of extension.
