Commis 1 Butcher – Restaurant Kitchen Role

About the role

Our client, a leading restaurant in Dubai, is looking for a skilled Commis 1 Butcher to join their kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing and handling meat and fish products while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming meat and fish deliveries for quality and quantity compliance.
• Prepare and cut meat and fish according to standard recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of preparation areas, including proper storage in refrigerators and freezers.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure timely availability of meat products.
• Operate and maintain butcher equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations and participate in area inspections.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a butcher in hotels, restaurants, or cruise ships.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of quality control, portion control, and proper storage techniques.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a kitchen team.
