About the role
The Commis 3 position supports Mina's Kitchen by preparing ingredients, cooking, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role is essential for delivering high‑quality meals in line with company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix ingredients; operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards; test doneness and monitor food quality.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and clean/disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
- Check appliance and food temperatures, follow safety policies, report incidents and maintain personal appearance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑preparation experience.
- Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
Required skills
- Food preparation and basic cooking techniques.
- Operation of kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, microwaves and fryers.
