Commissioning Superintendent – I&C (Oil & Gas)

About the role

We are seeking a Commissioning Superintendent I&C to lead on‑site commissioning activities for a major oil & gas PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing the start‑up of sales gas and condensate facilities, coordinating with licensors and vendors, and ensuring all commissioning work complies with contractual and procedural requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and drive commissioning and pre‑commissioning activities for gas and condensate areas.
• Coordinate with licensors and vendors to align commissioning work with their procedures.
• Review and approve commissioning manuals, procedures and mechanical completion certificates.
• Support the Senior Commissioning Manager by providing technical advice and status updates.
• Participate in commissioning and troubleshooting meetings, resolve obstacles and verify system readiness for MC and RFSU certification.
• Manage punch‑list closure and ensure hand‑over complies with contractual documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 18 years of experience in commissioning or operation readiness, preferably in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar role on oil & gas or petrochemical mega‑EPC projects, with exposure to sour‑gas, hydrogen production or hydro‑desulfurization facilities.
• Strong knowledge of licensor and vendor commissioning procedures.
