Communications M&S Engineer & Trainer for UAE Connected Battlespace Lab

About the role

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Communications Modelling & Simulation Engineer (CMSE) to support the Connected Battlespace Lab (CBL) program. The role includes a three‑month training period in the UK followed by a four‑year assignment in Abu Dhabi, where you will act as a subject‑matter expert and trainer for Emirati staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑country communications M&S expertise and mentor a team performing detailed modelling and analysis of UAE communications systems.
• Teach the CBL Foundations course, assess student proficiency, and support instructional design improvements.
• Assist with installation of the Connected Battlespace Lab and lead in‑lab M&S project design, execution, and analysis.
• Develop and simulate communications systems models using tools such as Ansys and MATLAB, covering RF datalinks, 5G/6G, SATCOM, encryption devices, EW, AI‑enabled communications, and SDR.

Required profile

• 12+ years of communications systems experience and 5+ years in modelling & simulation.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills and cultural awareness of the Arab environment.
• Proven experience teaching or mentoring junior technical personnel and conducting classroom training.
• Background in military communications systems, including datalinks, networks, radios, and RF technologies.
