Compliance Governance & Risk Assessment Specialist (Emiratized)

About the role

The Specialist, Compliance – Governance & Risk Assessment will support the development and continuous improvement of Group-wide compliance governance frameworks. The role ensures consistent application of standards, oversees control document lifecycles, and facilitates enterprise compliance risk assessments across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and periodically review Group compliance standards, methodologies, evidence requirements and guidance documents.
• Administer the compliance control document lifecycle, including drafting, stakeholder consultation, approvals, publication, renewal and retirement.
• Support the planning and coordination of the annual enterprise compliance risk assessment cycle, track submissions and prepare status updates and risk reports.
• Maintain inventories of compliance policies, procedures, standards and local regulatory overlays, ensuring proper justification, approval and periodic review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, law, risk management or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in compliance, governance or risk assessment (fresh graduates may be considered).
• Professional compliance certification (e.g., ICA or CAMS) is desirable or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Strong analytical, report writing and documentation capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
