About the role
The Compliance Manager will support the AML Unit in ensuring adherence to UAE Central Bank regulations and other regulatory requirements, while leading complex investigations and guiding the team.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in monitoring compliance with statutory regulations and guidance notes issued by the UAE Central Bank and other authorities.
- Proactively escalate critical issues to prevent investigations, fines, or reputational damage.
- Lead intelligence‑driven investigations across multiple geographies and financial crime typologies.
- Manage and train the AML Unit team, including complex investigation teams.
- Oversee team productivity, resource allocation, and meet performance targets.
- Provide guidance on quality analysis for complex AML investigations.
- Highlight financial crime risks to senior management through intelligence and investigation reports.
- Support the MLRO in filing STR/SAR with the FIU and engage with business lines and auditors on financial crime risk matters.
