Construction Engineer - Civil

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Construction Engineer (Civil) to manage civil construction activities on oil and gas projects in the UAE. The role ensures that all work complies with project specifications, industry codes, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise site execution of civil construction works, ensuring adherence to approved drawings and quality standards.
• Review technical drawings, construction methodologies, and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and subcontractors for efficient project execution.
• Monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, prepare daily/weekly progress reports, and communicate updates to project management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant oil & gas experience, including at least 5 years in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar position on international major oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
• Experience with onshore terminals, fields, and maintenance hubs is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with field instruments, DCS, PLCs, and control systems.
• Leadership, coordination, and problem‑solving abilities.
