Construction Engineer - Civil

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Engineer (Civil) to lead civil construction activities on oil and gas projects. The role focuses on ensuring all work complies with project specifications, codes, standards, and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise site execution of civil construction activities.
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Review technical drawings, construction methodologies, and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and subcontractors for efficient execution.
• Monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and enforce HSE and quality compliance.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to approved procedures and schedules.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for the project management team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, including at least 5 years in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar role on international major Oil & Gas or petrochemical projects.
• Experience handling terminals, onshore fields, and maintenance hubs is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with field instruments, DCS, PLCs, and control systems.
