Construction Equipment Technician

About the role

Al-Futtaim Automotive is seeking a skilled Technician to join the FAMCO Construction Equipment team in the UAE. The role involves delivering high‑quality service, maintenance, and repair for heavy machinery, both in the workshop and on‑site, to minimise downtime and maximise customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Remove, install, disassemble and re‑assemble components such as engines, transmissions and axles.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics and inspections to identify faults and implement effective repairs.
• Conduct machine inspections and customer visits to support service quality and generate additional revenue.
• Maintain accurate documentation (job cards, service reports, timesheets) in line with ISO standards.
• Guide junior technicians through knowledge sharing and teamwork.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive Engineering.
• 2–5 years hands‑on experience servicing heavy machinery in both field and workshop environments.
• Valid driving licence and basic computer literacy for reporting.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as operational demands require.

Required skills

• Strong troubleshooting and fault‑finding abilities.
• Hands‑on expertise in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics and technical drawings.
