About the role
Wood is seeking a seasoned Construction Site Lead to drive the execution of a major oil & gas project in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on safety, construction planning, and coordination with contractors, ADNOC, and internal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Project Construction team, championing the safety objective “Nobody gets Hurt”.
- Manage contractor planning and execution, ensuring compliance with project objectives and safety policies.
- Establish a construction organization, coordinate resourcing, and provide execution strategy support.
- Oversee interfaces with ADNOC and other projects to minimize production disruption.
- Report on construction progress, performance, and issues to the Project Team.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred) and 20+ years of oil & gas construction management experience.
- Proven experience managing large‑scale contractors and suppliers worldwide.
- Strong decision‑making, communication, and mentorship skills, especially for developing UAE nationals.
