Consultant Hand Surgeon (UK CCT) – UAE

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Consultant Hand Surgeon with UK CCT accreditation to join its specialist surgical team. The role involves delivering high‑quality hand, wrist and upper‑limb care to a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage complex hand, wrist and upper‑limb conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency hand and wrist surgeries, including trauma, tendon, nerve and fracture repairs.
• Carry out reconstructive and microsurgical procedures as required.
• Provide pre‑operative assessment and post‑operative follow‑up.
• Collaborate with orthopaedic, plastic surgery, rehabilitation and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in clinical audits, teaching activities and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• UK CCT in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery with a dedicated Hand Surgery fellowship/training.
• Relevant post‑CCT experience in hand and upper‑limb surgery.
• FRCS or equivalent specialist qualification preferred.
• Current GMC or equivalent specialist registration.
• Eligibility for UAE Consultant/Specialist classification.
• Strong clinical, surgical and communication skills.
