Consultant Infectious Disease – Sharjah

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant in Infectious Diseases to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah. The role involves delivering expert clinical care, managing complex infectious cases, and leading infection prevention initiatives within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of infectious diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Lead clinical management of complex cases such as sepsis, HIV, tuberculosis, and viral hepatitis.
• Develop and implement antimicrobial stewardship programs and infection control policies.
• Participate in outbreak investigations, surveillance, and infection prevention initiatives.
• Oversee isolation protocols and ensure compliance with infection control standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Infectious Diseases (mandatory).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Consultant Infectious Disease specialist.
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing (MOHAP for Sharjah).
