Consultant Medical Oncologist – UAE

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its oncology services and seeks an experienced Consultant Medical Oncologist. The role offers strong clinical exposure, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the chance to serve a diverse international patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, stage and manage patients with solid tumours and selected haematological malignancies.
• Develop personalised treatment plans based on current clinical guidelines and multidisciplinary input.
• Prescribe and administer systemic therapies including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy and supportive oncology treatments.
• Monitor treatment response, manage toxicities and coordinate follow‑up and survivorship care.
• Provide clear counselling on diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options, fertility preservation and survivorship.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumour boards with surgical, radiation, pathology, radiology, haematology and palliative‑care teams.
• Support oncology protocols, medication safety, clinical governance, audits and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent specialist qualification in Medical Oncology (e.g., US ABIM, UK CCT/MRCP, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian FRACP, Arab Board, DM/DNB/FCPS).
• Experience managing solid tumours and selected haematological malignancies in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing and facility credentialing.
