Consultant Neurointerventional Radiology

About the role

Black Pearl Consult is recruiting a Consultant Neurointerventional Radiologist for a reputed hospital in Al Ain. The position combines clinical work in neurointerventional radiology with managerial tasks supporting the division chief and the hospital's performance management system.

Key responsibilities

• Support, implement and follow hospital, departmental and divisional policies and procedures
• Help lead and run the performance management system, including peer review, productivity and utilization review
• Assist with scheduling and ensure adequate medical coverage in the division, and attend divisional meetings as required
• Assist the Division Chief in recruiting new medical staff and take on other administrative or clinical duties as requested
• Diagnose and treat patients according to best-practice standards for the specialty
• Oversee the clinical activities of junior medical staff and take responsibility for their care
• Lead ward rounds, regularly reassess inpatients and outpatients, and document clinical information clearly and on time
• Review investigation results and modify treatment as needed, liaise with other specialties, and take part in multi-disciplinary meetings
• Prepare patients for procedures, obtain informed consent, accept clinically appropriate referrals and follow admission, consultation, discharge and outpatient protocols

Required profile

• Tier 1 qualification and current national license or equivalent
• Certified proof of yearly CME
• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and specialization in Neurointerventional Radiology
• American Board, CCT UK, Australian Board, any Western Board, fellowship or additional certification in Neurointerventional Radiology
• At least 5 years of post-specialization experience in Neurointerventional Radiology
• Valid DOH (Abu Dhabi) license or eligibility; experience in JCI-accredited hospitals is preferred
