Consultant Neurologist

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is looking for an experienced Consultant Neurologist to work on site. The specialist will diagnose and manage neurological disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. The advertised salary range is 720,000 to 840,000.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and neuropathies
• Carry out neurological assessments and build individualized treatment plans
• Evaluate patients with headaches, seizures and movement disorders
• Interpret investigations such as EEG, EMG and nerve conduction studies
• Manage complex cases and coordinate multidisciplinary care
• Advise on acute emergencies and chronic conditions, and monitor treatment outcomes
• Counsel patients and families and supervise junior medical staff

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• MD/DNB in General Medicine, followed by DM/DNB or equivalent specialization in Neurology
• Significant post-specialization experience at consultant level
• Experience with complex neurological conditions and interpretation of investigations
• Strong clinical judgment, leadership and patient communication skills
