Consultant Pediatric Dentist (Western Qualification)

About the role

A leading private hospital in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Consultant Pediatric Dentist to deliver comprehensive dental care for infants, children and adolescents. The role focuses on managing routine and complex paediatric dental conditions while ensuring a comfortable, child‑friendly clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide full paediatric dental assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and follow‑up care.
• Deliver preventive, restorative and comprehensive dental services, including management of caries, developmental anomalies and dental trauma.
• Perform paediatric dental procedures using evidence‑based techniques and manage dental emergencies.
• Educate children and parents on oral health and preventive practices.
• Handle anxious or uncooperative patients with appropriate behavioural management strategies.
• Coordinate care with orthodontists, oral surgeons, paediatricians and other specialists as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, uphold infection‑control standards and ensure patient safety.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Dental degree with a recognised postgraduate qualification in Paediatric Dentistry from a Western board (UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or equivalent).
• Consultant‑level clinical experience in paediatric dentistry, preferably in a private, tertiary or multispecialty hospital setting.
• Proven ability to treat infants, children and adolescents, including complex cases and dental trauma.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with children, parents and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice, patient safety and ongoing professional development.
