Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist

About the role

Stafmed is recruiting a Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist for a leading hospital in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves delivering advanced clinical and procedural care to children with complex gastrointestinal, hepatic and nutritional disorders within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of pediatric gastrointestinal, liver and nutritional conditions.
• Perform and interpret advanced pediatric endoscopic procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic evaluations.
• Lead care for complex cases such as inflammatory bowel disease, liver disorders, feeding disorders and other GI conditions.
• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology services.
• Develop individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
• Participate in clinical governance, audit and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Support medical education, teaching and departmental development.

Required profile

• Board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology (ABMS, Canadian Royal College, UK CCT/CCST or equivalent).
• American Board certification preferred.
• Minimum five years post‑specialisation experience, with demonstrated clinical leadership.
• Eligibility for consultant‑level licensing with DHA, DOH or MOHAP.

• Expertise in inflammatory bowel disease, feeding disorders and related conditions.
