Consultant Pediatric Pulmonology

About the role

American Hospital Dubai, a 254-bed private hospital with international accreditation and satellite clinics across the emirate, is hiring a full-time, on-site Consultant Pediatric Pulmonology. The consultant provides comprehensive respiratory care to children, covering clinical assessment, diagnostics, treatment planning and ongoing management of acute and chronic pulmonary conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient clinics and supervise inpatient care
• Perform and interpret pulmonary investigations
• Respond to emergency respiratory cases as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other specialists, taking part in case discussions
• Contribute to clinical pathways and quality improvement initiatives
• Engage in teaching and training for medical staff

Required profile

• Strong foundation in medicine with specialized training and experience in pediatric pulmonology, including complex respiratory disorders in children
• Experience in emergency medicine or acute care, including stabilization of pediatric respiratory emergencies
• Experience in training and education, such as supervising residents and mentoring junior clinicians
• Relevant medical degree (MD or equivalent), completed pediatric and pediatric pulmonology residency/fellowship, and board certification or equivalent
• Eligibility for specialist licensure in the UAE and proven adherence to high clinical, ethical and patient safety standards
• Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a diverse, international healthcare environment
