Consultant Specialist Gastroenterologist – American Board Certified

About the role

A leading UAE healthcare facility is looking for an experienced Consultant Specialist Gastroenterologist who holds American Board certification to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient gastro‑enterology services in Sharjah.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic and biliary conditions.
• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, including follow‑up and treatment planning.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists and other specialists.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement projects, teaching and departmental activities.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with UAE clinical and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• American Board Certification in Gastroenterology (ABMS‑recognized).
• Current professional registration/licence and Good Standing Certificate.
• Eligibility for UAE Consultant or Specialist classification, subject to final PQR assessment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
