Consultant Vascular Surgeon (Part‑Time)

About the role

Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital is seeking a part‑time Consultant Vascular Surgeon to deliver high‑quality vascular surgical services across outpatient and inpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant‑level clinical assessment and management for patients with vascular disease.
• Perform and/or oversee open and endovascular vascular procedures within approved clinical privileges.
• Ensure comprehensive pre‑operative evaluation, intra‑operative decision‑making and post‑operative follow‑up.
• Collaborate with anaesthesia, ICU, emergency, radiology and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in MDT discussions, case reviews and shared decision‑making for complex cases.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with DOH, hospital policies and accreditation standards.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit, patient safety and quality improvement activities.
• Support education, mentoring and knowledge‑sharing within the department.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent with specialist certification in Vascular Surgery (CCT/Board or recognized higher specialist qualification).
• Eligibility for, or holding, a valid UAE medical licence (DOH approval preferred for Abu Dhabi practice).
• Proven consultant‑level experience in managing vascular surgical cases.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, evidence‑based practice and continuous professional development.
