Content Compliance & Government Relations Manager, Middle East

About the role

A well-established international media and digital platform company, expanding into the Middle East, is hiring a Content Compliance and Government Relations Manager in Dubai. The role safeguards platform content and maintains constructive relationships with regional regulatory authorities, ensuring alignment with local cultural, religious and policy frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct content review and compliance execution aligned with local religious, cultural and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain regional content safety standards, including mechanisms for identifying and escalating sensitive content.
• Monitor and analyse policy and regulatory developments across Middle Eastern markets and provide compliance guidance to internal teams.
• Build and maintain ongoing communication with government and regulatory bodies as a key point of contact.
• Manage content-related compliance incidents, risk assessments and resolution plans with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in content compliance, regulatory affairs, government relations or policy-related roles.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, written and spoken.
• Strong understanding of Middle Eastern cultural, religious and policy environments.
• High sensitivity and sound judgment in handling content risk and regulatory matters.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across international teams.
