Content Strategist

About the role

Power to Change (P2C) is looking for a Content Strategist to oversee all types of content for its digital strategy, ensuring consistent messaging across its websites (e.g. issuesiface.com, thelife.com). The role reports to the Creative Director, Digital Strategies, and involves content creation, deployment and evaluation, as well as leading a team of writers and editors. It is a full-time, permanent position, open to online or remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a website content strategy aligned with the ministry's objectives, working with the Creative Director and Marketing Director
• Ensure all content matches the ministry's mission and vision
• Supervise an editorial team of volunteer and staff writers and editors
• Curate and oversee new articles entering monthly content calendars and databases
• Create content that draws people into mentoring and supports the mentoring team
• Write and publish newsletters for mentors and ministry partners, and use MailChimp to communicate with donors and subscribers
• Take part in online ministry and become an online mentor

Required profile

• Fluent English; proficiency in French is an asset
• Experience in marketing, SEO, Google Analytics and other marketing tools
• Familiarity with social media best practices (Facebook, YouTube)
• Experience executing plans at department-wide scale, writing and editing, and supervising others
• Comfortable working remotely and able to build a Ministry Partner Development team that provides financial and prayer support
• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and adherence to the ministry's Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith
