Control Tower Manager

About the role

The Control Tower Manager leads the expediting function, ensuring that purchase orders are processed, tracked, and delivered on time to meet operational needs. This role coordinates procurement, logistics, and stakeholder activities across global supplier networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the expediting team, allocating work based on PO priority and criticality.
• Review daily SAP PO reports, assess urgency, and assign tasks.
• Personally manage high‑priority and time‑sensitive orders, monitoring progress and escalating issues.
• Maintain real‑time PO status updates in SAP and reporting tools.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Identify risks, implement recovery plans, and provide progress reports to stakeholders.
• Prepare supplier performance reviews, vendor reports, and quality verification documents.
• Oversee transportation planning for air, sea, and land shipments and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement expediting, logistics, or supply‑chain operations.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
