Corporate and Government Affairs Manager – Gulf and Developing Markets

About the role

This position leads all communications, public and government affairs activities for the Gulf and developing markets at Mondelēz International. The manager acts as a business adviser, handling advocacy, media relations, crisis communications and issue management to protect and promote the company’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute external communications programmes, including media relations, public relations, corporate announcements and events.
• Build and maintain government relations, influencing public policy and advocating with stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with industry associations, key customers and media outlets.
• Oversee crisis and reputation management, business continuity and issue handling.
• Lead media strategy, social‑media content and agency partnerships to enhance brand visibility.
• Coordinate with digital communications, CGA and marketing teams for integrated campaigns.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in communications, government or corporate affairs within a fast‑moving consumer goods environment.
• Proven ability to work with senior internal and external stakeholders, including senior media contacts.
• Strong writing and presentation skills in both Arabic and English.
• Experience handling controversial issues and driving decision‑making.
