Cost Controller – Hotel Finance

About the role

All Inclusive Collection Properties is looking for an experienced Cost Controller to oversee the hotel’s cost structure, ensuring effective cost control and maximizing profitability. The role involves detailed financial analysis, budgeting, and collaboration with department heads to drive operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze and control costs across all hotel departments, including food & beverage, housekeeping and maintenance.
• Assist in preparing departmental budgets and forecasts, and compare actual performance against targets.
• Prepare and present cost reports, profit and loss statements, and variance analyses to senior management.
• Oversee inventory control, conduct regular physical counts and ensure accurate recording of goods.
• Establish and maintain standard costs for materials, supplies and services, updating them regularly.
• Support supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing and cost‑effective procurement.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, analyze trends and recommend efficiency improvements without compromising guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, implement internal controls and provide training to department managers on cost‑control procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum three years of cost‑control, accounting or finance experience, preferably in the hospitality sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics or SAP.
• Experience using hotel management systems like Opera or Micros.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
