Cost Controller

About the role

The Cost Controller will join a leading hospitality brand in Ras Al Khaimah, overseeing financial performance across all operational areas. You will ensure that costs are monitored, analyzed and kept within budget while supporting the hotel’s strategic financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze and control costs across food & beverage, housekeeping and maintenance departments.
• Assist in preparing departmental budgets and forecasts, tracking actual performance against targets.
• Prepare detailed cost reports, profit and loss statements and variance analyses for senior management.
• Oversee inventory control, conduct regular physical counts and ensure accurate recording of goods.
• Establish and maintain standard costs for materials, supplies and services, updating them regularly.
• Support supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing and cost‑effective procurement.
• Identify cost‑inefficiencies, analyse trends and recommend cost‑saving initiatives without compromising guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost control, accounting or finance, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics or SAP.
• Experience using hotel management systems like Opera or Micros.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with the broader Microsoft Office Suite.
