Cost Controller

About the role

Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi is looking for a Cost Controller to monitor, analyze and control operational costs so that resources are used efficiently and the organization's financial objectives are met. The role covers cost reporting, budgeting support, inventory management and financial controls, with a strong focus on accurate recording, safeguarding and effective use of company assets in line with policies, internal controls and financial procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze and control operational costs to support efficient resource use and financial goals.
• Oversee cost reporting, budgeting support, inventory management and financial controls.
• Ensure assets are accurately recorded, safeguarded and used effectively, in line with company policies, internal controls and financial procedures.
• Assist in running the department in line with Hyatt International's corporate strategies and brand standards, while meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in cost control, asset management and inventory control.
• Experience maintaining and administering fixed asset registers, including acquisition, tracking, depreciation, transfer and disposal.
• Knowledge of asset lifecycle management, inventory control and internal control procedures.
• Experience conducting physical asset verification, asset audits, monitoring asset tracking systems and reconciling asset records with financial statements.
• Experience in large-scale hospitality operations is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including reporting, analysis and reconciliation.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple asset-related projects at once.
