Credit Controller

About the role

Blue Ocean Global is seeking a Credit Controller to manage credit limits, assess risk, and accelerate cash recovery for its Dubai operations. The role works closely with sales and operations teams to minimise bad‑debt exposure across distribution channels.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily credit control functions, monitor customer credit accounts and track receivables.
• Lead collection efforts, conduct structured payment follow‑ups and accelerate cash recovery.
• Perform financial credit assessments, evaluate customer creditworthiness and recommend appropriate credit terms.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers, analyse ageing schedules and resolve balance variances.
• Collaborate with sales and operations to resolve billing disputes and payment holds.
• Utilise ERP platforms to audit transactions and generate credit management reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
• 3–5 years of credit control and receivables experience, preferably in FMCG, wholesale distribution or trading within the UAE market.
• Strong analytical abilities and assertive communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with major ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage or Odoo.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for ageing analysis and risk reporting.
